Police Incident Occurring Near Pittsburgh-Area High School

PITTSBURGH, PA — Shaler Township police and other agencies are involved in what they describe as a police incident in the 1400 block of Anderson Road.

Due to the proximity to the Shaler Area High School, the school perimeter is secure. Authorities said there is no immediate threat to the school or the public. Screening procedures are in place at the high school.

Police are advising people to avoid the area and they will notify when the incident is concluded.
