Police Probing Downtown Pittsburgh Shooting

PITTSBURGH, PA — Police are investigating a shooting Saturday night in which the victim was found across the street from the Downtown Public Safety Center in the 400 block of Wood Street.

A 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his groin was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

The man told police the shooting occurred on Smithfield Street. However, police were unable to locate a crime scene.

The Mobile Crime Unit was called to process evidence, including reviewing all available video footage.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
