Pennsylvania State Police have raided a popular Pittsburgh restaurant. Patch provides the details.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A Pennsylvania State Police Liquor Control Enforcement raid has led to the Allegheny County Health Department shuttering a Downtown Pittsburgh eatery.
Exoticz Bar & Restaurant on Smithfield Street has been ordered to close.
The restaurant was opening without a valid health permit. According to a recent inspection report, the eatery did not submit plans to the health department's food safety department before opening and failed to give the required 10 days notice prior to opening.

Trash such as cardboard, paper products, bottles were found to be accumulating and overflowing in a pile in basement.
Evidence of smoking was observed in food preparation areas.

A "closed" placard is posted at an establishment when an imminent health hazard is identified at a restaurant or kitchen or if it has been operating without proper permits. It is unlawful to operate a food facility with a "closed" placard.
