Popular Pittsburgh Bar Under Investigation

A popular Pittsburgh bar is being probed by law enforcement officials. Patch provides the details.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County District Attorney's office says it's investigating a popular South Side bar as a possible nuisance bar.

District Attorney Stephen Zappala's office said in a release Tuesday that Capo's Bar on East Carson Street, is under review by the Nuisance Bar Task Force. The release did not provide further details.

Several incidents inside and outside the bar have occurred in recent weeks.

Pittsburgh Public Safety issued a Notice of Disruptive Property against Capo's on July 3 that allows the city's public safety director to levy all future costs for administrative and public safety actions responding to the property — including police, fire, and EMS services — to the property owner.

The notice is in effect for the next six months.
