A section of a busy Pittsburgh highway was shut down Thursday morning after a collision involving a bicyclist and a vehicle.

UPDATED, 9:30 a.m.: Route 8 has reopened to traffic.

SHALER, PA — A portion of Route 8 was shut down Thursday morning after a bicyclist-vehicle crash.

The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. near Route 8 and Butler Plank Road and forced the closure of Route 8 northbound at Spencer Lane and Spencer Lane extension, WTAE-TV reported.
