Severely Beaten Pittsburgh Baby Dies

A 4-month old infant who was found beaten and unresponsive last week has died, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said.

PITTSBURGH, PA — An infant found severely injured in Bloomfield on Tuesday died over the weekend, Pittsburgh police said.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office identified the 4-month old boy as Micaiah Williams.

On Tuesday, the boy's father, Seth Williams, 28, was charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children after police found Micaiah gravely injured and unresponsive. The infant was taken to Children's Hospital, where he died on Saturday.

Additional charges against Seth Williams are pending. He is being housed in the Allegheny County Jail.
