PITTSBURGH, PA — The Steelers are finalizing a trade that would send talented but mercurial starting wide receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys, according to multiple reports.

First reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter, the deal was confirmed by the Cowboys via social media. The Steelers will receive a 2026 third-round and 2027 fifth-round draft pick in exchange; the Cowboys will receive the Steelers' 2027 sixth-round pick as well.

Speculation on Pickens' future with the team has been rampant, especially since the Steelers recently acquired another starting receiver, DK Metcalf, from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a second-round pick. The Steelers promptly signed Metcalf to a 4-year, $132 million contract.
