Steelers Make Major Changes At Acrisure For 2025 Season
Here's what Steelers fans can expect at Acrisure Stadium this season.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Though the Steelers open the season on the road against the New York Jets on Sunday, fans can expect a host of changes at Acrisure Stadium for the team's home opener against the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 14.
The team on Tuesday announced a series of enhancements to the venue.
We are committed to constant improvement across every part of our business,” said Steelers senior vice president of business operations Ryan Huzjak. “By listening to our fans and acting on their feedback, we’re making meaningful changes to enhance their game-day experience. Our goal is to ensure that the atmosphere and experience at Acrisure Stadium are among the best in all of sports.”

The key enhancements include:
• A new 44-by-25-yard football field near the Gate A Lawn. The synthetic field provides an area that will be utilized as part of the 2026 NFL Draft taking place next April.

• A new marquee video board installed on the east side of the stadium along Art Rooney Avenue will support an enhanced fan experience. The new board increases the size and clarity of the display. During Steelers home games it will also have the ability to display the score of the game using graphics.
• An upgraded wi-fi system with better coverage, faster speeds and lower latency.
The food and beverage upgrades include:
- New Concessions to the upper east sections 506 and 516, and upper west sections 529 and 534. These include upscale nacho offerings like classic nachos and new pulled pork nachos, featuring fresh jalapenos and cilantro lime crema.
• Two new Steel City Markets in the UPMC Club and the West Club, featuring hot dogs, nachos, soft pretzels, beer, soda and water. These markets offer a convenient self-checkout, allowing fans to grab their favorites quickly and get back to the game.
• New Pick 6 Sammies are located in the UPMC Club (209) and West Club (233). These newly remodeled stands feature kiosk self-order and checkout. Fans visit the kiosk, select from a menu of chef-crafted, premium sandwiches, and pick up their orders from the window.
Additionally:
- During the off-season, an official 2026 NFL Draft countdown clock was installed on the North Shore Great Lawn. The structure marks the days until one of the most anticipated events in professional sports, which is set to bring hundreds of thousands of fans to Pittsburgh next April.
• Displayed on Art Rooney Avenue during Steelers game days, the 2026 NFL Draft Mobile Exhibit showcases Pittsburgh’s draft legacy—from the event’s origins to the franchise’s evolving philosophy. It also celebrates western Pennsylvania’s remarkable football pipeline: 150 NFL players from 58 local schools, including 23 Hall of Famers. When not featured on game days, the exhibit will be open throughout the 2025 season in the stadium's Great Hall.
- The Steelers Hall of Honor Museum now features a new changing exhibit commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Steelers Super Bowl XL victory. The exhibit will allow fans to re-live the 2005 season start to finish and is the latest addition to the museum which is home to more than 50 Hall of Honor inductees and over 10,000 square feet of Steelers history. The exhibit will run through the summer of 2026.
• As the Terrible Towel marks its 50th anniversary this season, fans can celebrate the iconic symbol by visiting the Terrible Towel wall located in theGreat Hall. The installation is dedicated to the towel’s rich history and it creation by legendary Steelers broadcaster, Myron Cope.
