Steelers Player Agrees To Historic NFL Contract

A Pittsburgh Steeler has agreed to a record-setting contract. Patch provides the details.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Steelers edge rusher TJ Watt has become the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, according to a national report.

ESPN'S Adam Schefter says Watt reached agreement with the team on a new three-year $123 million contract extension that includes $108 million in fully guaranteed money. The $41 million annual salary is the highest of any non-quarterback ever.

The pact virtually ensures that Watt will retire as a Steeler.
