Suspect Sought In Pittsburgh Attempted Sexual Assault
Pittsburgh police are searching for the man who tried to sexually assault a woman in her apartment Tuesday.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Police are investigated an attempted sexual assault that occurred Tuesday night in Shadyside.
Police were sent to an apartment in the 5400 block of Fifth Avenue, where a college student told them she heard someone enter around 10 p.m. She said a naked, heavy set white male around 30 years old, with short dark hair, suddenly came into her bedroom.
The victim said the man was armed with a small knife and told her she would not be harmed if she didn't say anything. The woman was able to distract him long enough to lock herself in the bathroom and call 911.

Crime Scene Unit detectives processed evidence at the scene and Special Victims Unit detectives are investigating.
