SWAT Team Converges On Pittsburgh Residence
A SWAT team was summoned after reports that an armed man had barricaded himself in a Pittsburgh home. Patch provides the details here.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A SWAT team was called to a Homewood residence early Tuesday in response to a domestic incident involving a weapon.
Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said police were called to the 7000 block of Idlewild Street just before 3 a.m. and learned that the man involved in the domestic situation reportedly had stolen the woman's firearm. He was last seen going into a residence on Idlewild and barricading himself inside.
SWAT was summoned and negotiators made contact with the male via phone. He told police he wasn't inside the residence and provided a location where he said he would meet them.

That information was false. After communication with the man lapsed, police entered the residence but the unidentified man wasn't inside.
The search for the unidentified man is continuing.

The woman involved in the incident suffered minor injuries and was treated by medics.
