Teen Arrested After Bomb Threat At Western PA High School
The teen is facing multiple felony charges after the bomb threat was made Monday at the high school.
CHERRYHILL TOWNSHIP, PA — A 14-year-old student at Penns Manor Area Junior/Senior High School in Indiana County is accused of making a bomb threat that forced the school's evacuation and early dismissal Monday.
Pennsylvania State Police said Tuesday that student was charged with a felony count of threat to use weapons of mass destruction and a felony county of terroristic threats. He also was charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of weapon on school property as he had a pocketknife on him when he was detained at the school.
Troopers were sent to the school Monday morning after a handwritten note found inside a restroom indicated there was a bomb in the building that would detonate at 1:30 p.m.

School staff members immediately reviewed school security footage and were able to identify the student as a suspect. He was then taken into custody and later released to a guardian.
The building was thoroughly swept and no explosive devices were found.
