Teen Shot To Death In Pittsburgh

A Pittsburgh teen was shot to death in a Pittsburgh residence on Thursday, authorities said.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A teenager died Thursday after being shot inside a home in Knoxville.

Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said police were dispatched to the 100 block of Rochelle Street for a ShotSpotter alert, followed by a 911 call at 1:09 p.m. Arriving officers found a 17-year-old male
suffering from a gunshot wound inside a residence.

Officers rendered life-saving aid to the male, but he was pronounced dead by medics a short time later.

Police have detained a person of interest for questioning.

There is no ongoing threat to the public, police said.
