Trump, Harris Pittsburgh Rallies: What You Need To Know
Former President Donald Trump and Kamala Harris both will appear in Pittsburgh today as the presidential campaign nears its conclusion.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The final day of the presidential campaign will have an enormous impact on Pittsburgh and former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will hold virtually simultaneous rallies here.
With the race between the pair virtually deadlocked nationally and in Pennsylvania, it is widely perceived that the candidate who wins the state and its 19 electoral votes will win the presidency. Both Trump, Harris and their running mates have made multiple Pennsylvania appearances in recent weeks.

The Harris Rally
Originally scheduled for Point State Park, the event on Saturday was moved to the Carrie Blast Furnaces in Rankin. The event begins at 5 p.m. and will feature musical performances by Katy Perry, Andra Day, DJ Arie Cole and D-Nice, according to the Harris website.

The Trump Rally
The former president's event will begin at 6 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena. Doors to the arena will open at 2 p.m.
Traffic impacts
Rolling closures of the Parkway West inbound and Parkway East outbound are likely during the afternoon rush hour as the candidates make their from Pittsburgh International Airport to their respective rallies. Rolling closures of the Parkway East inbound and Parkway West outbound are likely when their events conclude. Expect a number of local road closures around PPG Paints Arena and the Carrie Blast Furnaces.
Downtown impacts
Non-essential City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County workers will be allowed to leave at noon today. The city and county also are encouraging individuals and businesses to avoid unnecessary travel in and around Downtown.
Pittsburgh Public Schools impacts
Due to anticipated large crowds and road closures impacting the city, Pittsburgh Public Schools are operating on a half-day schedule. All schools will be closed Tuesday for Election Day.
Pittsburgh Regional Transit impacts
Non-essential Pittsburgh Regional Transit employees will be dismissed at noon. PRT Customer Service representatives will maintain regular hours (via live chat until 8 p.m. and via phone until 7 p.m.) by working from home.
PRT's Downtown Service Center will close at noon. The ticket vending machine inside the vestibule of the service center will remain accessible until 6 p.m.
Buses, the light-rail system, and the Mon Incline will operate on regular weekday schedules.
