Weather Service Confirms Western PA Tornado

The National Weather Service says a tornado occurred in a Western Pennsylvania county.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The National Weather Service has confirmed the latest tornado to touch down in Western Pennsylvania this year.

The weather service said on social media Tuesday that an EF0 twister with peak speeds of 75 mph touched down in Waterson, Clarion County. For Clarion County, it was the first tornado recorded since 2017.

No deaths or injuries were reported.

The twister, which occurred on Saturday, damaged trees and destroyed a garage, the weather service said. Trees fell in a convergent pattern for roughly a quarter of a mile.
