Will Ferrell Visits Pittsburgh, Dines At Popular City Restaurant

PITTSBURGH, PA — Actor and comedian Will Ferrell was in town Wednesday and stopped at a popular Pittsburgh restaurant.
Ferrell, of "Talldaega Nights" and "Anchorman" fame, had a meal at Alla Famiglia on East Warrington Avenue in Allentown.
"Thank you, Will Ferrell, for dining with us," a post on the restaurant Facebook page stated. "Lots of laughs and good stories over meatballs and pasta."

The post did not say whether Ferrell poured syrup on the pasta like his character Buddy did in the classic Christmas comedy "Elf."
It's unclear why Ferrell visited Pittsburgh.

The award-winning Alla Famiglia opened in 1997. Current owner and chef Jonathan Vlasic purchased the small restaurant in 2005.
