Winter Storm Smacking Pittsburgh: See Latest Snow Total Forecast
Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania will remain under a Winter Weather Advisory all day Friday.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Snow began blanketing Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania overnight and a winter weather advisory remains in effect for the region until 10 a.m. Saturday.
The National Weather Service says to expect additional accumulations of 2 to 5 inches. Steady snow this morning will transition to snow showers and possible squalls this afternoon.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions are impacting the Friday morning commute and expected to effect the evening rush hour as well.

Pittsburgh's Department of Public Works has deployed 60 trucks to clear roads. Allegheny County has 30 salt trucks equipped with plows out on county-maintained roads.
After this storm passes, another one will quickly follow Sunday night and Monday. The weather service said snowfall totals currently are uncertain, but the probability for the heaviest snow is south of Interstate 80.

State College-based AccuWeather 1 to 3 inches of snow from the next storm. The Weather Channel forecast calls for 1 to 3 inches on Sunday night and another 1 to 3 inches on Monday.
