Woman Dies, 2 Others Injured In Pittsburgh-Area Tractor-Trailer Crash
A woman was killed and two other people were injured in a crash involving a tractor-trailer in suburban Pittsburgh Friday.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A woman was killed Friday morning in a crash involving her vehicle, a tractor-trailer and another vehicle in the 2100 block of Mosside Boulevard in Monroeville.
The accident happened around 9 a.m.
Allegheny County police said the tractor trailer and a Hyundai Elantra driven by the woman were traveling north on Mosside when the Elantra slowed to make a left turn into a parking lot and was struck by the tractor-trailer. The Elantra then struck a Dodge Caravan traveling south on Mosside.

The Elantra driver was trapped in the vehicle, removed and taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead. A passenger in the Elantra, an adult man, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The name of the woman killed was not immediately released.

A man and a woman in the Caravan were also taken to the hospital in stable condition. The tractor-trailer driver was uninjured.
The tractor-trailer was signed as an oversized load, police said.
The crash investigation is continuing.
