Man Shot At Oakmont Pizzeria; Suspect Sought

A man was critically wounded while struggling with a robber at a popular Oakmont pizza place on Sunday.

OAKMONT, PA — Police are searching for a suspect in a shooting in Fox's Pizza Den on Sunday that left a man in critical condition.

Oakmont police and paramedics responded to the Allegheny River Boulevard pizzeria shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday, where they found a 34-year-old man who had been shot in the chest and extremities during a robbery. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital.

The shooting occurred as the suspect and the victim struggled for the gun.

Allegheny County police say the suspect is Black male, about 5 feet-4 inches to 5 feet- 6 inches tall with a slim build. He was wearing a ski mask and a red hooded sweatshirt with RMU across the front.

The suspect fled on foot towards California Avenue.
