Plum Police Officer Facing DUI Charges Remains On Job

Officer Ryan Schneider-Lochner was arrested in January for driving under the influence.

PLUM, PA — A Plum police officer remains on the job more than a month after he was arrested for driving under the influence.

According to court documents, police found Officer Ryan Schneider-Lochner asleep in the driver's seat of his pickup truck at the interesection of New Texas and Saltsburg roads at 4 a.m. on Jan. 21. He was off-duty at the time.

Schneider-Lochner admitted he had been drinking and stumbled when getting out of the vehicle.

Borough manager Michael Thomas told KDKA that Schneider-Lochner remains on patrol, but the Plum officials will determine his punishment in March.

Schneider-Lochner faces an April 26 hearing before District Judge Thomas Torkowsky.
