About 1,500 Still Without Power in Greater Philly Area
A Thursday storm has left many in the region without power, and more severe weather could mean more outages.

More than 1,500 PECO customers were without power in Chester, Philadelphia, Montgomery and Delaware counties combined as of 4:50 p.m., according to PECO's outage map.Â
Earlier, about 12:30 p.m., the total was about 6,000 in Montgomery and Chester counties, with 1,000 more in Philadelphia and Delaware counties.
PECO advises area residents stay away from downed electrical equipment or fallen wires, and report any downed wires as a precaution.Â

Residents can report power outages by calling 1-800-841-4141.

The National Weather Service announced severe thunderstorm watch for the area Thursday morning. A flood watch is in place for the area through Friday, June 14. See the full forecast here.
