Local Artists Sought For Exhibit In Tredyffrin Township Building

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Calling all Tredyffrin artists: your work could be featured in the township building as part of an exhibit.

The Tredyffrin Township Arts Commission is inviting all Tredyffrin painters to participate in an exhibit in September this year.

Residents are can submit one original piece per person for consideration in the exhibition.

All painting mediums are accepted, and works must be between 8-by-10 inches and 24-by-36 inches.

Submissions must be appropriately framed or gallery-wrapped and ready for display on easels.

Work featured in the exhibition can be offered for sale.

The deadline to submit is Aug. 24, with selections being named on Sept. 5.

To submit a piece, email JPG images of the work, the dimensions, and contact information to tredyffrin@tredyffrin.org and put "ARTS COMMISSION" in the subject line.

Submissions that are selected to be featured must be dropped off at the Tredyffrin Township Building between noon and 2 p.m. on Sept. 26.

An opening reception will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 10 in the township building.

Works must be picked up from the township building between 10 a.m. and noon on Dec. 12.

Artists are responsible for insuring their own work.

Final selections will be made by the Township Arts Commission.

A 'People's Choice' award will be given based on votes from those who attend the show. This award is honorary and does not include a cash prize.

The number of pieces each artist may display will depend on the total number of participating artists.

The Tredyffrin Township Building is located at 1100 DuPortail Road in Berwyn.
