5 Things to Know About This Weekend

Wet, dreary weather; 'Broadway Rules' at high school; John Gray dedication ceremony; 'Stamp Out Hunger' food drive; writing workshop.

Here are five things you should know about for this weekend in and around Barrington.

  1. The entire weekend looks to be wet most of the time with temperatures in the high 60s and low 70s.
  2. Hampden Meadows School students perform "Broadway Rules" tonight at 7 and Saturday at 1 and 7 pm in the Barrington High School auditorium; its the final Arts Alive! performance of the school year.
  3. The Barrington High School auditorium will be dedicated to John Gray, longtime principal, at a ceremony Saturday at 10 am.
  4. Postal carriers are looking for your help to 'Stamp Out Hunger' on Saturday; leave a food donation at your mailbox for the annual campaign to help the RI Community Food Bank.
  5. Release the writer within you at a workshop at the East Bay Chamber of Commerce, 16 Cutler St., Warren, on Saturday at 2 pm. $25 fee and open to anyone.
