Here are five things you should know about today in Barrington:

  1. Showers in the morning will turn into a steady rain in the afternoon with a high temperature near 67 degrees.
  2. The film-lecture series, ā€œAudrey in the Afternoon,ā€ continues at 1 pm in the Barrington library auditorium with Funny Face; the salute to Audrey Hepburn is led by librarian and film enthusiast Doug Swiszcz, who will provide commentary.
  3. The Committee on Appropriations introduces next fiscal year's proposed municipal and school budget at a 7 pm Budget Hearing in the Barrington Middle School auditorium.
  4. Barrington Neighbors and Newcomers hosts tennis drills and a workout each morning from 9 to noon at Centre Court Tennis Club, 55 Hospital Road, Riverside.
  5. Displays of landscape paintings by an established Barrington artist and mixed-media by two brothers, ages 9 and 6, who are just starting out can be seen at the Barrington library through May.
