5 Things to Know About Today

Here are five things you should know about today in Barrington:

1.    Heat and humidity will cause an oppressive day with the high temperature approaching 92 degrees.

2.    The Summer Family Film Series: I Love the ‘90s continues in the Barrington library auditorium at 7 pm with "Troop Beverly Hills," starring Shelley Long and Craig Nelson in a comedy set in the wilds of Beverly Hills.

3.    The Barrington Planning Board holds another special meeting at 7 pm in the School Committee Room in Town Hall on the proposed Palmer Pointe affordable housing development at Sowams Nursery.

4.    The Barrington/Warren Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at 6:30 pm at the Wharf Tavern, 215 Water St., Warren. 

5.    Have you discovered the 16 different museum passes available at the library for some summer fun, such as the Providence Children’s Museum, the Roger Williams Park Zoo, Mystic Seaport and the RISD Museum of Art; all are sponsored by the Friends of the Barrington Public Library.
