Barrington Real Estate Manager Stole $200K: Feds
Authorities said Gregory Meeker, a manager for Newport-based Landings Real Estate Group, created a fake invoices and cashed checks himself.
BARRINGTON, RI ā A Barrington real estate manager stole more than $200,000 from his company by creating fake invoices for non-existent contractors and cashing checks himself, federal authorities announced Tuesday. Gregory Meeker, 55, was charged with twelve counts of fraud and two counts of theft. He was arraigned in federal court in Providence and released on $100,000 bond.
