Mt. Hope High School Ranked Among Best In Rhode Island

BRISTOL, RI — Mt. Hope High School is one of the best high schools in Rhode Island, according to U.S. News, which on Wednesday released its "Best High Schools" rankings for 2018. Classical High School in Providence was ranked the best in Rhode Island.

Mt. Hope was ranked No. 6. The school's enrollment is 912 and its student-teacher ratio is 14 to 1. On test scores, 30 percent of students were proficient in math and 65 percent were proficient in reading.

"Top-ranked schools succeed in three main areas: exceeding expectations on state proficiency tests, offering challenging coursework and graduating their students," Anita Narayan, a managing editor at U.S. News, said in a statement.
