CRANSTON, RI — A body was found in the Pawtuxet River in Cranston on Tuesday night, according to police.

Police said a kayaker discovered the body of a man in the water near Mill Street.

Authorities have not identified the man. Police said they are awaiting findings from the state medical examiner before releasing more information.
