Cranston Man Charged In East Greenwich Stabbing

Theodore Craven, 47, of Cranston, was arrested in connection to the stabbing of a 51-year-old man in East Greenwich.

EAST GREENWICH, RI — A Cranston man was arrested Sunday after East Greenwich police said he was involved in the stabbing of a 51-year-old man.

Around 5:25 p.m., police were called to the area of King Street and Crop Street in East Greenwich for a report of a man suffering from a stab wound. When officers arrived, they found the victim with a severe laceration to the arm.

Police said the victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

Later, officers received information about a possible suspect vehicle. According to police, Cranston officers found the vehicle. East Greenwich police responded and arrested Theodore Craven, 47.

East Greenwich police did not release what Craven was charged with. Police said the incident remains under investigation.
