Cranston Police Identify Body Of Providence Man Found In River: Report

The Providence man had been reported missing a month ago, according to Cranston police.

Police identified the man as Dante Williams, 28, of Providence​, WPRI 12 reported. According to police, a kayaker discovered his body in the water​ near Mill Street.

CRANSTON, RI — Cranston police have identified the body of a man who was found in the Pawtuxet River on Tuesday night.

Police identified the man as Dante Williams, 28, of Providence, WPRI 12 reported. According to police, a kayaker discovered his body in the water near Mill Street.

Williams had been reported missing a month ago, following a crash on Interstate 95 northbound in Warwick. According to police, Williams ran away toward the river before first responders arrived.
