Cranston Suspect Charged With Sex Crimes
The Grand Jury indicted Eric Horton, 45, for child molestation, sexual assault and simple assault, the state Attorney General's office said.
CRANSTON, RI —The Providence Grand Jury indicted Eric Horton, 45, for child molestation, sexual assault and simple assault, the state Attorney General's office said. Horton, of Cranston, allegedly molested a victim "multiple times" between July 1, 2016 and Oct. 23, 2017. The alleged crimes happened in Cranston, and the city police investigated. Horton is being charged with first degree child molestation, (2 counts); third degree sexual assault, (3 counts); second degree child molestation, (2 counts); and one count of simple assault.
Horton is next due in Providence County Superior Court on Feb. 7.
