Domestic Assault, Obstruction: Cranston Arrest Logs

Here's what Cranston police have been up to this week.

CRANSTON, RI — Cranston police have been busy the first half of the week. They released information about their activity on their website, outlining arrests made by their officers. Here's what they've been up to.

Charges listed do not indicate a conviction, nor do they imply guilt.

On Monday, Nov. 26., at around 12:45 a.m., police pulled over a car on Pontiac Avenue near Legion Way. As a result of the stop, Rodney Raposo, 24, of Fall River, Mass, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license, obstruction and giving a false document to a public official. Raposo is awaiting arraignment.

On Monday, Nov. 26., at around 6:45 a.m., police were called to Merit Drive where they arrested David Harding, 29, on charges of Providence for possession of a stolen vehicle and conspiracy. They also arrested Durand Perry, 31, of West Kingstown for possession of a stolen vehicle, weapons other than firearms and conspiracy. They were both transported to the Third District Court.

On Monday, Nov. 26., at around 10 a.m., police were called to 20 Chapel View. As a result, they arrested Carlton Purdy, 46, of Cranston on charges of shoplifting and being a habitual offender. He was transported to the Third District Court.

On Monday, Nov. 26., at around 7:30 p.m., police were called to Route 10 on a suspicious person call. As a result, they arrested Thomas Brown, 31, of Howard Avenue, on a Superior Court Bench Warrant. He was transported to men's intake.

On Monday, Nov. 26., at around 10:20 p.m., police were called to 85 Briggs Street to an apartment building on a suspicious person call. As a result, they arrested William Link, 53, of the above address, on a Superior Court Bench Warrant. He was transported to men's intake.

On Tuesday, Nov. 27, at around 10:30 a.m., police were called to 1776 Broad Street. As a result, they arrested Frank Tameo, 33, of Cranston, and Krystal Cruz, 27, of Providence, both on charges of shoplifting and conspiracy. They were both transported to the Third District Court.

On Tuesday, Nov. 27, at around 7:10 p.m., police pulled over a car on Route 10 and as a result arrested Terry Lee, 45, of Providence, for a Superior Court Bench Warrant and for driving on a suspended license (third offense). He was transported to Adult Correctional Institutions.

On Tuesday, Nov. 27, at around 11:45 p.m. police pulled a car over on Broad Street near Betsy Williams Drive and arrested Stephan Moronta, 26, of Providence, on two Superior Court Bench Warrants and for driving with a suspended license. He was transported to Adult Correctional Institutions.

On Wednesday, Nov. 28, at around 3 a.m., police stopped a car on Cranston Street near Garfield Avenue. As a result, they arrested Ariel Morales, 23, of Providence, for receiving stolen goods and driving on a suspended license. She's awaiting arraignment.

On Wednesday, Nov. 28, at around 10 p.m., police responded to a disturbance call on Barnsdale Road. As a result, they arrested John Crowley, 56, of that address, on domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct. He's being held for arraignment.
