Fire Extinguished at Sam's Food Mart in Cranston
The fire was put out quickly at the Pontiac Avenue market.
CRANSTON, RI—Cranston firefighters responded to a fire at Sam’s Food Mart on Pontiac Avenue on Friday night.
Nobody was hurt and the fire reportedly started in a boiler.
Firefighters got the call at around 6:10 p.m. and arrived to find smoke and fire in the attic of the structure.

Crews had the fire under control within a few moments.
The fire is under investigation.

The store, located at 460 Pontiac Ave., is along the southern section of Rolfe Square.
