Members of the Cranston Fire Department responded to a house fire on Marcy Street Friday night and Cranston police are now investigating a possible homicide.
Firefighters pulled a woman from the scene of a burning multi-family home shortly after 8 p.m. That person was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
Police later confirmed one person had died in the fire and the incident is under investigation. More details are expected to be officially released soon.
