Suspect Charged with Murder in Connection with Marcy Street Fire
Police will be releasing more details later Wednesday.

The expectant mother found dead by firefighters after they responded to a fire in her Marcy Street apartment was murdered and Cranston police have arrested a suspect.
Police did not immediately identify the suspect and more information will be released at an 11 a.m. press conference.
Police said the suspect will be arraigned at 1 p.m. at Third Division District Court in Warwick.

Police said Aliss Collins, 32, was killed and discovered by firefighters after they responded to the fire last Friday. Witnesses said they saw a man running from the apartment shortly before the fire began.
Based on what firefighters saw inside the apartment, police obtained a search warrant and the scene continued to be processed by Cranston detectives along with members of the Rhode Island State Police Criminal Identification Unit for several days.
