Obituary: James Edward Riley, 71

James Edward Riley, 71, of East Greenwich passed away Friday November 13, 2015 at RI Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Elaine M. (Moretti)Riley for 47 years. Born in Central Falls a son of the late James Edward Riley, II and Edith (Theroux) Riley.

Mr. Riley was a Division Manager for Verizon for 30 years. Since leaving Verizon and for the past 20 years he was co-owner and CFO with his wife Elaine of HomeCare Advantage in Cranston. He was active in the home care community and served on the Dean’s Advisory at URI College of Nursing.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Levesque and her husband Stephen Levesque, Esq. of Cranston, his son Dr. Brian James Riley and his wife Dr. Ann Sousa Riley of South Glastonbury, CT and was the devoted grandfather of Jaclyn, Emily, Holden and Bennett.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mercy Church 65 Third Street, East Greenwich. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. VISITATION Tuesday 4-7 p.m. at “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston.
