Psychedelic Mushroom Possession; Felony Shoplifting: Cranston PD Log

CRANSTON, RI — The following people were arrested by Cranston police between April 23 and April 27.

Names of those arrested, their age, or the town they reside in were only omitted when not provided by police.

April 23

10:58 a.m. — Joel Royster, 29, of Cranston, was charged with large capacity feeding device prohibited.

6:04 p.m. — Nicholas Minutelli, 29, of Cranston, was charged with manufacturing/possessing with intent to deliver Alprazolam (second offense) and four counts of possession of schedule I-to-V drugs (oxycodone, hydrocodone, marijuana, and psilocybin mushrooms). Police said the arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street.

April 24

1:35 p.m. — Gregory Anthony, 41, of East Providence, was charged with felony shoplifting and being a habitual offender, following a motor vehicle stop on Sockanossett Cross Road.

April 25

7:22 p.m. — Matthew Saygbah, 36, of Providence, was charged with vandalism. Police said the arrest stemmed from a disturbance at the Dollar Tree on Park Avenue.

9:03 p.m. — Jose Diaz, 48, of Providence, was arrested on two Providence Superior Court warrants. Police said the arrest stemmed from a traffic stop on Broad Street.

April 26

9:29 a.m. — Sagrario Carmona, 48, of Cranston, was charged with second-degree child abuse.

10:03 a.m. — Tiffany Espinal, 31, of West Warwick, was charged with felony shoplifting. Police said the arrest stemmed from an investigation at the Sephora on Hillside Road.

April 27

8:06 a.m. — Sension Jimenez, 30, of North Providence, was charged with domestic simple assault (third offense or greater), violating a no-contact order, and domestic disorderly conduct.

7:41 p.m. — Carole Smith, 61, of Cranston, was charged with domestic simple assault.

7:41 p.m. — Heidi Smith, 39, of Cranston, was charged with domestic assault on a person over 60.
