Rhode Islanders Arrested for Prostitution in Connecticut
A woman and two men have been arrested on separate charges in recent days.

CRANSTON, RI—A Cranston woman was arrested with two other people on prostitution charges in Connecticut on Friday.
Stonington police said that Erica J. Beauregard, 28, of 275 Magnolia Drive, was charged with prostitution after an investigation into prostitution and the promotion of prostitution in their town.
Also charged was Dijon H. Shepard, 31, and Justina C. Manarite, 27, both of Pawtcatuck, CT.

"They were each placed under arrest after an investigation into prostitution and the promotion there of was conducted," police said in a statement.
The arrests come just a day after two Rhode Island men were arrested in Groton after they "attempted to employ a female for monetary gains to further their criminal enterprise," police said.

Jason A. Maciel, 23, of 11 Tiernan Ave., Warwick, R.I. was charged with promoting prostitution in the second degree.
John W. Ostrowski, 53, of 7 River St., West Warwick, R.I. was charged with conspiracy to commit promoting prostitution in the second degree and carrying a weapon in a motor vehicle.
"Seized during this investigation was a BMW sedan and an electronic stun gun," police said. "Maciel and Ostrowski were both held on bond."
