Two Hour Delay Tuesday for Cranston Schoolchildren
Light, wind-blown snow stuck around late into the evening Monday.

CRANSTON, RI—Cranston schoolchildren have two extra hours to get ready for school Tuesday.
School officials decided to open with a two-hour delay on Tuesday after wind-driven snow made roads and sidewalks difficult to navigate all day Monday.
While some parts of Rhode Island saw an end to the snow on Monday afternoon, a stubborn band of snow kept the flakes falling well into the early evening hours over Cranston.

Also affecting cleanup efforts has been the strong wind, which has been whipping up and blowing around the cold, light snow.
The delay is intended to give city and school employee extra time to complete snow removal tasks.
