Deceased Husky Left in Rocky Point Park - $2,500 Reward (Warwick Animal Shelter / Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter)

On August 9, 2023, a deceased, underweight, un-neutered male Siberian Husky, estimated to be middle-aged, was found wrapped in a plaid sheet inside a trash bag at Rocky Point Park, in Warwick, Rhode Island.

Necropsy results indicate that the dog died of heat stroke. The outside temperature on August 9, 2023 was in the low 80's, so it appears as though the dog was either in a car or another enclosed structure such as a shed where the temperature would have reached a dangerous and ultimately fatal level.

Chalk and crayons were also found in the trash bag so there may have been children living in the home. Below is a picture of the dog along with the sheet he was wrapped in.
