5-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Pulled From Pool In West Warwick
Foul play is not suspected in the boy's death, but the Department of Children, Youth and Families was notified.
WEST WARWICK, RI — A 5-year-old boy died after being pull from a swimming pool at a West Warwick home, according to police.
Police told WPRI 12 the drowning happened around 9 a.m., Saturday, at a house on Petti Drive. Emergency officials rushed to the home and administered first aid before taking the boy to Kent County Hospital in Warwick.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police have not released the boy's identity.

Police told WJAR they are still investigating, but they do not suspect foul play at this time. The department notified the Department of Children, Youth and Families following the death.
