East Greenwich Drunkenly Crashes Box Truck Into MA Gas Station: Police

EAST GREENWICH, RI — An East Greenwich man was arrested in Massachusetts on Wednesday after police said he drunkenly crashed a box truck into a gas station.

Police in Norfolk, Massachusetts, said Keith Johnson, 54, was driving down Rockwood Road and lost control. He then crashed into a gas pump, two cars, an aerial lift and a fence at the Daley Service Center, police said.

When officers arrived, they found the box truck dangling over the edge of the retaining wall in the parking lot, police said.

Johnson was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a moor vehicle. He was arraigned Tuesday and was released on personal recognizance.
