Projo Gives Pat's Pastured A Shout Out
Owner-farmer Patrick McNiff leases Boesch Farm on South Road.

East Greenwich doesn't have many farmers anymore, but our newest, Patrick McNiff, who leases the EG Land Trust's Briggs-Boesch Farm, got a two-thumbs-up write up in Wednesday's Providence Journal food section.
McNiff operates Pat's Pastured, a business that raises and sells grass-fed beef and lamb, and pastured pork, turkey, chicken and ducks, plus fresh eggs.
Writing for the Providence Journal, Gail Ciampa lauds McNiff's commitment to sustainable farming:
"His style of farming produces a tastier animal. Just ask anyone who visits one of the farmers’ markets at which he sells, or his farm store on Friday or Saturday. Flavor doesn’t just happen, it’s raised."
You can visit the farm anytime – Boesch Farm is town-owned and has lovely walking paths in addition to the animals owned by Pat's Pastured. The Farm Store at 830 South Road, East Greenwich, is open Fridays from 3 to 6 p.m., and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Or visit Pat's Pastured at the EG Farmers Market on Mondays from 3 to 6 p.m.
