Providence Teen Arrested In Connection To East Greenwich Bank Robbery

EAST GREENWICH, RI — A Providence teen was arrested in connection to last week's bank robbery in East Greenwich, police said Saturday.
Mark Clements, 18, was charged with second degree bank robbery after police said he robbed the BankRI branch on South County Trail last Tuesday.
Police said the bank robbery happened around 9:05 a.m. Police said the suspect, later identified as Clements, passed a note to the teller, demanding money. He then sped away in a 1993 Subaru Impreza, according to police.

Police said no weapon was used, and no injuries were reported.
Police issued a wanted poster, following the bank robbery, and asked for the public's assistance in solving the crime.

According to police, the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call East Greenwich police at 401-884-2244.
