Rhode Island State Police Seize West Greenwich Man's Guns, Drugs
State police raided a West Greenwich man's home on Thursday and allege they found cocaine, prescription drugs and a cache of weapons.

WEST GREENWICH, RI — A State Police task force raided a West Greenwich home on Thursday and arrested Walter S. Garbecki, 33. He was charged with almost two dozen gun and drug offenses and is being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston. According to Laura Meade Kirk, state police spokeswoman, police were led to Garbecki while investigating "the distribution of cocaine and illegal prescription medication." Inside his Lake Drive home, police allege they found 3 grams of cocaine and several prescription drugs (including Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Dextro-Amphetamine, Clonazepam, Diazepam). They also found rifles, a sawed-off shotgun, an "illegally modified fully automatic AR-15 rifle, a handgun, two silencers and ammunition.
Here is the list of weapons, which the state police allege they seized from Garbecki's home:
- AR-15 style rifle (fully automatic) equipped with a suppresser
- 40 caliber hand-gun
- Tan-colored rifle with no identifying markings
- Marlin Glenfield model 60 .22 caliber rifle with a wooden frame
- Lefever Arms Company top break shotgun (Barrel length is less than 16” inches)
- New England Firearms Pardner model SB1 12-gauge shotgun
- Mossberg & Sons model 25 .22 caliber rifle
- Wooden framed .22 caliber rifle
- Marlin model 60 .22 caliber rifle
- Harrington and Richardson model 120 16-gauge shotgun
- Ruger Deerfield Carbine model 44 magnum rifle
- Winchester king improvement model lever action .32 caliber rifle.
- Remington model 580 .22 caliber rifle

· Approximately 3,000 rounds of assorted ammunition
· Cutting agents, three scales, and other items used for narcotics distribution.

· Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I, II, III (Oxycodone)
· Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I, II, III (Hydrocodone)
· Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I, II, III (Dextro- Amphetamine)
· Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I, II, III, IV (Clonazepam)
· Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I, II, III, IV (Diazepam)
· Two Counts (2) Sale and Possession of Silencers
· Possession Sawed-Off Shotgun
· License or Permit Required for Carrying Pistol (machine gun)
· Thirteen (13) Counts Possession of a Firearm while Committing a Controlled Substance Violation
He was arraigned in district court on Thursday.
