Truck Found Submerged In Water Near East Greenwich Boat Ramp

This was the second time this year, a vehicle went off the town boat ramp

EAST GREENWICH, RI — Firefighter pulled a truck that ended up submerged underwater in East Greenwich Friday.

Fire officials received a call about the truck at the town boat ramp just after 5 p.m.

The department sent three rescue vehicles to pull the truck out of the water. No injuries were reported.

This was the second time this year, a vehicle went off the town boat ramp and into the water. The first incident happened in April, when fire officials found an unoccupied car in the water about 30 yards into Greenwich Bay.
