Boston Man, 31, Killed In Rollover East Providence Crash
The driver misjudged a turn and went off the road, police said. He was believed to have been speeding.
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — A Boston man was killed in an early morning crash in East Providence. The vehicle went off the road and into the trees off Warren Avenue, police said.
The crash happened in the 1000 block of the road a little before 1 a.m. Monday. According to police, the driver, 31-year-old Phillip Holub, failed to properly negotiate a turn and went off the road, hitting a traffic signal pole and sign. Speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
During the crash, Holub's vehicle went over the traffic island and into the trees off the roadway, rolling over onto the roof. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
