• East Providence volleyball star signs to play D-I for Holy Cross (eastbayri.com) — East Providence volleyball standout Keira Mullen has officially signed to play Division I volleyball at the College of the Holy Cross, capping a stellar career at East Providence High School. Family, teammates, and school leaders gathered in the high school auditorium to celebrate her achievements, including multiple Player of the Year honors and leading the Townies to deep state tournament runs.
   

• URI alumnus receives prestigious Milken Educator Award (uri.edu) — An East Providence third grade teacher, Emily Rendine, is highlighted as a past Milken Educator Award winner while URI celebrates another alumnus, counselor Kyle Spaltholz, for receiving the same national honor.
