Boston Marathon 2022: See Finishing Times For East Providence Runners

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — The Boston Marathon returned on its traditional Patriots Day date this week, with more than 25,000 athletes completing the 26.2-mile course from Hopkinton to Boylston Street.

Among those runners were three East Providence athletes.

Evans Chebet of Kenya took first place among the men with a finishing time of 2:06:51, and Peres Jepchirchir of Kenya won in the women's group with a time of 02:21:01.

Here are the East Providence residents' Boston Marathon finishing times:

• Maurice Lowman, 43 — 4:16:36, 19,610th place
• Alex Pease, 35 — 3:09:35, 5,153rd place
• John Ponte, 50 — 4:25:30, 20,553rd place
