East Bay Community Action Program Announces Staff Promotions
EBCAP promotes two members of its Senior Leadership Team

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is pleased to announce the promotions of two members of its Senior Leadership Team.
Jasma Patel, DMD, MPH, BDS, of Warwick, RI, was promoted from Dental Director to EBCAP’s Vice President of Dental Services. Dr. Patel will direct clinical and administrative operations of EBCAP’s comprehensive dental care services; manage the development and implementation of patient care initiatives; and provide hands-on patient care and treatment. “We’re fortunate to have a dynamic and committed leader in Dr. Patel,” states Shipley. “Over the past 8 years, she has provided steady leadership through some of the most challenging times for Community Health Centers and will continue to guide us as we look to expand our dental services.”
Kathryn Amalfitano, of North Smithfield, RI, has been promoted to Vice President of Health Administration. In her new position, Amalfitano will oversee the administrative functions of EBCAP’s Community Health Centers. She will also collaborate with EBCAP’s Medical Director, Vice President of Dental Services, and Vice President of Behavioral Health to deliver comprehensive, strategic clinical services to EBCAP patients. “Kathryn has played a key leadership role in many of our successful health-related endeavors over the past 9 years,” states Jesse Shipley, EBCAP’s Chief Operating Officer. “We’re looking forward to leveraging Kathryn’s administrative and operational experience, combined with her risk and quality informed approach, in her new role.”
